Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Are the Angels available for challenges in environments other than the NDAC?
A.
Absolutely! We will consider travelling anywhere - abroad included. Our main consideration is safety. If the logistics work, we will happily provide the safety and support for competitions and record attempts elsewhere.

Q. How do I go about involving the Angels in my event / record attempt?
A.
Contact us via the email links here on the website or telephone and we’ll take it from there.

Q. What about the costs involved?
A.
The costs vary depending on where the diving is taking place, the depths involved and how many support divers are needed. Once we know what the challenge is we will have a better idea of how feasible it is for us to be involved. Generally speaking – we like our gas and chemical costs covered, transport and accommodation as well. We remain as flexible as possible and with the help of sponsorship we are hoping to be accessible and available for most challenges.

Q. What alternatives are there?
A.
We work closely with SaltFree using a fresh water quarry near Chepstow. The facilities we have at the NDAC are exceptional and tailored to both our needs and those of the freedivers. We have everything in place to cover dives to a depth of about 80 meters (the bottom of the quarry). If this appeals then it is probably cheaper for you to come to us. Contact SaltFree directly and together we will do our best to help you fulfil your dream.

Q. What depths can the team cover?
A.
The Angels network of support divers can cover depths in excess of 100 metres. Our core team can cover depths in excess of 80 metres.

Q. What about the equipment required?
A.
We are a complete, self-sufficient team. If the event in question is abroad then cylinders, weights, trapeze and support lines will be needed along with gas, scrubber chemicals and so on. If the event is within the UK, we are rigged and ready to go!

Q. What else will the Angels consider?
A.
Any challenge that requires a full support or safety team. Deep wreck expeditions, deep record attempts (SCUBA), anything interesting!
